About the Vietnam War US Bunker:

A major part of the US military strategy in the Vietnam War was to seek and destroy the forces of the North Vietnamese Army and Vietcong guerrillas as they infiltrated into the South. To support this effort, a series of semi permanent fire support bases were set up throughout the South of Vietnam. These were often placed in remote areas and supplied by helicopter or truck convoys. Defensive bunkers and fortified outposts dotted the perimeters of these fire support bases. In the more austere, remote areas, fortifications we often improvised with the materials on hand. This included plywood, corrugated steel, fuel barrels, and lots and lots of sand bags!

Our version of the Sandbag Bunker is modeled after numerous pictures taken in the field of such improvised fortifications, including a sandbag machine gun emplacement on the roof.  Included with this kit is a unique outpost sentry with custom 3D printed rain poncho and Perfect Caliber™ BrickArms M60 machine gun. There are numerous additional prints in and around the bunker and a fabric/paper American Flag flying above all.
