In a mission of exploration, a split-second decision could mean the difference between life and death for the ship and its crew. The command bridge is designed with maximum efficiency in mind, placing the captain’s chair in the center of the room. This placement also allows the captain a clear view of the main viewscreen at the front of the bridge. 

The bridge provides the captain and support staff with all the necessary information in any navigational, tactical, scientific, or security situation. Several command stations and consoles are often crewed and monitored by a variety of trained officers and professionals.
