The M4(105) was a Sherman tank up-armed with a 105mm M4 howitzer. These were used to provide close up fire-support for which the 105mm howitzer's high expolsive shell was ideally suited. They were generally deployed as six-tank assault platoons to provide fire support and smoke for armored battalions. While they were not designed to fight other tanks, they were provisioned with a limited number of High Explosive Anti-Tank (HEAT) rounds for emergency use. More than 1500 M4(105)s were built in 1944-45 and were based on late model M4 and M4A3 Sherman tank hulls and chassis.

The M4(105) includes the basic M4 Sherman kit, plus an additional set of instructions, LEGO parts and pre-built micro light assemblies from Brickstuff. You can build the M4 Sherman kit, then rebuild it as M4(105) Sherman assault tank with special light effects from Brickstuff. This is NOT an entry level kit!
