About the WWII US 82nd Airborne minifigure:
The U.S. Army’s first airborne division, The 82nd Airborne first began airborne training in October of 1942. In early 1943 the 82nd became the first airborne division to be sent overseas, landing in North Africa on May 10th. From there the 82nd played a critical role in countless operations including the invasion of Sicily, D-Day, Market Garden, the Battle of the Bulge, and finally the occupation of Berlin.
This Brickmania® custom minifigure features artwork based on the uniforms of the 82nd. The uniform color has been slightly shifted from dark tan to a more accurate olive green and includes field-applied camo, ammo bandolier, and pistol holster, combat knife, updated camo netting on the BrickArms® M1 Steel Pot Helmet, and camo face paint.
