About the Universal Carrier Mk. II – WWII Armored Personnel Carrier – Brickmania Classic Series:

Adaptable to many roles, the Universal Carrier transported infantry, provided firepower, and scouted ahead. The back area carried crewmen, anti-tank weapons, mortars, radios, and gear. Enabling the Carrier’s useful speed and agility, the Ford V8 engine provided a 30mph top speed and the reliable suspension system allowed the driver to spin the Carrier in a tight circle by braking and accelerating the tracks on opposite sides. With close to 80,000 built by the end of the war, the Carrier was ubiquitous wherever Allied forces fought.
