About the M37 3/4 Ton Truck:

The Dodge M37 is a rugged military vehicle that became the basic general purpose truck for the U.S. Army in the post-Second World War era, earning a reputation for durability, simplicity, and reliability through the Korean War and Vietnam War.

At the core of the ¾-ton 4x4 M37 is a 230-cubic-inch inline six-cylinder gasoline engine, known for its strong low-speed torque rather than high speed. This made the vehicle ideal for hauling troops, equipment, and supplies across rough terrain and through harsh conditions. With a four-speed manual transmission and four-wheel drive, the M37 could climb steep trails, ford shallow streams, and operate in mud, snow, or sand.
