About the M1A2 Abrams Main Battle Tank
The M1A2 Abrams is the current main battle tank of the United States Army. The original Abrams tank was first adapted by the US army in 1978 and has been successively upgraded with a bigger main gun and improvements to its armor protection. The latest version has a 120mm smooth bore cannon, independent thermal viewer for the commander, and advanced electronics to aid in better survivability and greater lethality on the modern battlefield.
