Since the late 1980s, the HMMWV ("Humvee") has been the backbone of the US military's utility vehicle and light weapons carrier fleet, serving in all theaters of operation in dozens of uses.

This version of the M1025 Humvee and accompanying US Army Ranger minifigs was modeled after Task Force Ranger, the main unit involved with the 1993 Battle of Mogadishu, made famous by the book and movie "Black Hawk Down."
