About the KV-1 Model 1941 "Battle of Moscow" Edition:

German anti-tank crews watched in fear as shells struck the Soviet tank and bounced harmlessly from its armor. In 1941, the KV-1 heavy tank presented German forces with a formidable challenge. As the German invasion approached Moscow, this massive Soviet machine gave Red Army soldiers hope in the form of a powerful weapon that seemed capable of withstanding an enemy assault that had already shattered entire Soviet armies.

The KV-1 Model 1941 weighed approximately 45 tons and was protected by armor around 75mm thick, making it exceptionally difficult for most German guns to penetrate. Its main armament was a 76.2mm F-32 or the longer-barreled F-34 cannon, accompanied by several 7.62mm machine guns. It had a theoretical top speed of 35 km/h, but the heavy and heavily-armed KV-1 suffered from mechanical unreliability, difficult controls, and poor crew visibility; its effectiveness was limited by a transmission that was vulnerable to breakdowns and limited training for crews.

However, during the Battle of Moscow in winter 1941, the KV-1 formed a critical part of the Red Army’s effort to halt the German advance. Although Soviet forces were desperately short of experienced crews after months of devastating defeats, the KV-1 could absorb punishment and its 76.2mm gun could threaten heavy enemy tanks. Still, the KV-1 could not win the battle alone, and its real importance lay in giving embattled Soviet troops a heavily protected fighting vehicle at a moment when their survival was uncertain. The KV-1 became a symbol of Soviet industrial power and the Red Army’s growing ability to fight back against the invading Wehrmacht.

History didn't stop the German advance with kindness—it used thick armor, preorder now to roll out the custom KV-1 Model 1941 "Battle of Moscow" Edition before it sells out!

Model Kit Features:

This impressively scaled Brickmania model kit is a heavy-duty behemoth with smooth rolling tracks and functional suspension. Built mainly with white bricks, the over-all look is the winter camouflage paint used by the Soviet armies, and with printed details to give the added level of realism. The main turret fully rotates, with a posable main gun, and opening commander's hatch. One custom Soviet Tank Commander minifigure is included with the kit.
