About the Historic Engine Ten - 911 Commemorative Fire Truck:

FDNY Ten House is the recognizable and historic New York City firehouse home of Engine Company 10 and Ladder Company 10. Located on Liberty Street directly across from the World Trade Center, Ten House has stood as a symbol of courage, resilience, and unwavering service for generations. Its firefighters answer emergencies in one of the busiest districts in New York City, protecting residents, workers, and millions of visitors each year. Notably, the firehouse also is home to the FDNY Memorial Wall, which honors the firefighters who died responding to the September 11, 2001, attacks. More than a working fire station, Ten House represents the enduring spirit of the FDNY, signifying tradition, professionalism, and dedication to duty.

To meet the demands of lower Manhattan, FDNY Ten House deploys Engine 10, a Seagrave High Pressure Pumper. Equipped with a powerful 2,000-gallon-per-minute two-stage pump, the truck delivers exceptional firefighting performance in the city’s dense urban streets. Every compartment is organized with specialized hoses, rescue equipment, and firefighting tools, enabling firefighters to respond quickly and effectively to a range of emergencies. Built for reliability, strength, and rapid deployment, Engine 10 allows Ten House to respond to routine alarms or major incidents.

From the Designer:

The actual Historic Engine Ten I referenced was built by Seagrave Fire Apparatus in 1994. My intention was to recreate this iconic truck as it appeared on September 11, 2001. The build is not only extremely durable, but it is also highly detailed, and 43 custom UV printed parts give it an extraordinarily striking appearance. The build is 1/35 scale, which makes the overall model measure 11.1” long by 3.9” wide, by 3.7” tall and is composed of 603 genuine LEGO® elements. The cab roof is easily removable and includes seats for up to four figures inside (figures sold separately).  Other details include a water deluge cannon, a spotlight array, numerous storage cabinets, detailed hose bed, and a pivoting ladder rack. As a bonus, this model includes a modern New York City fire alarm call box.
