About the Cannone da 149/35 A – Italian Heavy Gun:

Cheap and easy to manufacture, the Cannone da 149/35 A was produced in large numbers and saw extensive use during World War I. Come World War II, about 900 of them remained in active service with the Italian Army in June 1940 and continued to serve until September 1943 when Italy capitulated. After which the remaining guns captured by the Germans were scrapped or ignored.
