Product Description

About the AH-1W SuperCobra:

An ancestor of the Vietnam-era AH-1 “Cobra”, the SuperCobra has now been in service for several decades. Developed in the 1980’s, the SuperCobra provided a versatile air support and attack helicopter for the US Marine Corps. This aircraft’s primary weapon is one 20mm 3-barreled Gatling gun. However, the options for secondary armaments is what makes the SuperCobra indispensable. It can fulfill many roles ranging from air support for troops all the way to anti-armor capabilities.

The AH-1 SuperCobra has been deployed in recent conflicts including the Iran-Iraq and the Gulf War. None were lost during the Gulf War with seventy-eight deployed and flying a total of 1,273 missions. Current countries operating the SuperCobra include Iran, United States, Turkey and the Republic of China (Taiwan).
