BRICKMANIA 301 (Released August 1, 2001) SOLD OUT
4-4-2
"WILD WEST" LOCOMOTIVE
designed by Daniel
Siskind
Brickmania busts
into the the Wild West and Train themes with a authentic representation
of an 1800's locomotive. This 9v motorized train kit includes
details, like working piston rods and headlights, and is ready
to tame any wild western frontier. This kit contains 439 pieces
and is designed for intermediate to expert level builders.
"Brickmania
301 is the first Train theme custom model kit, designed by Daniel
Siskind, to be offered by Brickmania. While there are already
several other custom kit builders offering trains and related
kits (not to mention a renewed interest by Lego® themselves),
this design is innovative and unique enough to warrant a production
kit. Up to this point, no one has offered a kit based on the
classic American design of the ninteenth century, which conjures
up faded images of the "Wild West." While this kit
was modeled after no specific design, it contains all of the
charactoristics typical of mid ninteenth century American locomotive
design; four guide wheels on an articulated boogie, followed
by four steam-powered drivers. However, the most unique feature
of this kit is the actual working piston rods and linkage, not
available on any locomotive kit since the 9 volt system appeared.
Capping it off, this model also features a detailed cab interior
and actual working headlight. This kit the result of many hours
of design refinements and several generations of prototype models,
backed by more than 25 years of building experience. "301"
is the perfect addition to any size collection, looks great pulling
any standard 6-wide cars, and is compatible with all current
9v track configurations.
Each kit also comes
with a Certificate of Authenticity, listing the kit number and
batch from when it was created.
This is a limited
production, fan created model kit available on a first come,
first serve basis and may be discontinued at any time.
NOTE: My kits contain
only Lego® bricks which are in NEW condition, handled only
in the sorting and kit assembly process.
