The "Highland Keep" is an tower keep based on a composite of several existing historical castles throughout the Scottish highlands. It is also my first new Castle themed kits since 2003 and the largest component and heart of my new modular castle system.

The model includes many defensive and residential features typical of tower keeps from the medival period. It also has a fully accessible interior for playing or just plain showing off. There are five fully detailed interior rooms on three levels, plus a convenient garderobe for when nature calls. Functional staircases, numerous fireplaces, timber roof beams, arrow slits, shuttered windows and other architectural details bring this to a new level of historical accuracy.

Interior furnishing are also typical for domestic life of the landed gentry in medieval Europe. These include a clavichord (an early harpsichord), spinning wheel, pantry, bedding, fold-up desk, bookshelves, trophies and toys befitting the thyne station.

The Highland Keep is not only a defensive bastion, but also the home the Baron, Baroness and their children. Their most trusted companions are also present, including the clan Piper, Huntmaster, Captain of the Guard and a host of domestic servants and pets.

This kit includes full color PRINTED instruction in a spiral bound book. Yes, you also get the 6397 pieces you need to put it together.
