Dear friends, family and supporters,
I have been honored to participate in the 2010 NE Minneapolis Art-A-Whirl by having a large display of my LEGO works set up in the Bicycle Theory Studios. This year I will be displaying several large historical dioramas and models, mainly of events surrounding World War II. These include elaborate battle scenes from both Europe and the Pacific, as well as several large warships and numerous airplane and tank models. I will also have many of my Brickmania brand custom Lego kits, instruction books, and other paraphernalia available for purchase, as well as related products from producers like BrickArms, LEGO Architecture kits from Adam Tucker, and more. Bring a copy of this article and receive $5 off a purchase of $25 at the Brickmania booth!
Bicycle Theory is located on fourth floor of the world famous Northrup King Building (1500 Jackson St NE, Suite 400, Minneapolis, MN 55413) and will also be hosting the works of graphic artist Adam Turman, Sound in Motion, Speedhound Bikes, DC Ice, Giraffe and FREE COFFEE by Peace Coffee. This is a part of the over-all 2010 NE Art-A-Whirl weekend and admission is 100% free. Hours are 5-10pm Friday, May 14th, noon-8pm on Saturday, May 15th, and noon to 5pm on Sunday, May 16th. Kids are welcome (but will be sold to pirates or riders of tall bikes if left unattended).
I hope to see you there!
Dan
*** Daniel Siskind is an independent professional LEGO designer currently residing in NE Minneapolis. He has been making custom kits under the name Brickmania since 1999 and was the first independent designer to have a kit officially licensed by the LEGO company. Daniel also regularly contributes to displays of the Greater Midwest Lego Train Club and has won praise and recognition for his talents. Daniel Siskind is considered by many to be a renaissance man, although equally despised by others for his pretentious attitude, voluminous ego and bad habit of referring to himself in the third person.
