The land of Brickmania has seen a flurry of activity over the last month, including participation in two events and work on several new kits. The biggest news, however, has been the massive amount of orders we have received over the last month, bringing on flashbacks of the pre-Christmas onslaught. Every single kit in the Brickmania product line was forced through at least one production cycle, including an unprecedented three batches of the new Panther Ausf A kit! We apologize for those who have experienced small delays with kits being shipped, but rest assure that we are working tirelessly to keep up with demand and are making them as fast as we can buy the parts. We're hoping to have a bigger space soon that will help expedite the production process...

World War II Fighting Vehicles Volume I
A printed collection of Brickmania instructions coming mid-April

A compendium of building instructions for 16 different World War II fighting vehicles, built from LEGO bricks, as designed by world-renowned brick artist Daniel Siskind. This printed volume contains over 300 pages of full-color, step-by-step building instructions, plus an appendix containing the complete list of parts needed to build each model. This has been designed for ease of use while building and features a heavy duty spiral-binding to lay flat at any page. The first printing is limited to just 100 copies on premium-weight paper, with each copy is serially numbered and signed by the author. Prepay now for shipping in mid April (price increases to $44.95 after April 9th).

New Brickmania Kits (since last update)

With much of our attention recently directed at restocking current kits, not much forward moment was achieved in our new product lines. We're also waiting for the release of several new products from our partners before a number of kits already "in the can" will be released. Upcoming items will include US Marine Corps and Imperial Japanese fighting vehciles from World War II, several new troop packs, and a host of minifig scale artillery packs. As a preview of things to come, Brickmania is proud to release the Neberlwerfer 41 "Screaming Mimi" Rocket Launcher...

A minifig scale model of the infamous rocket mortar used to great effects by Germany artillery troops in World War II. This six barrel rocket projector was feared by allied troops that faced the deadly concentrated fire of the Nebelwerfer whose ominous sound lent itself to be called the "Screaming Mimi." This is the first of many minifig scale artillery packs to be offered by Brickmania. Troops sold separately or use your own.

Also released in march is an updated Kubelwagen, the German military's general purpose utility car of World War II, based on the Volkswagen automobile chassis. This is an updated version of the sold-out 2009 Brickmania kit, now features four opening doors plus a custom waterslide decal set for the driver and vehicle from Fine Clonier. This vehicle comes with a driver minifig, armed with a BrickArms MP40, but there is room for three more in the vehicle.

A very limited edition "Special Forces" troop pack containing two (yes, the number 2) minifigs featuring an LMG, M4A1 and 2x sets of body army from Hazel's Amazing Armory, plus dark green berets from Brickforge . These limited edition troops are meant to compliment the new modern military kits being released by Brickmania in 2010. Get 'em while they last!). Limit 2 per customer please.

FREE BRICKMANIA KITS!

That's right, Brickmania is sponsoring the new AFOL event BrickMagic, taking place in Raleigh, NC. All exhibitors taking part will receive one of Brickmania's new mini kits free of charge in their "goodie bags." These new 1/120 scale kits will also be for sale at this event for a ridiculously low price for those just planning to visit on the public days. The new BrickArms 2010 Sci-Fi Packs are now available, containing many previously unavailble BrickArms weapons in a limited edition run of metallic silver ABS. We also have T-shirts with the new Brickmania Logo and all Brickmania T-shirts are now available in youth sizes through XXX-Large.

UPCOMING EVENTS:

Just a reminder of upcoming events Brickmania will be attending. I generally like to have new products and limited release stuff debut at events, so the best way to get the best stuff is to show up in person. IMPORTANT: Due to increasing poplurity there is a very real possibility that these events may SELL OUT. I strongly advise ordering tickets in advance (or becoming a registered attended where applicaple) to ensure that you are not turned away at the door.

April 9-11: Bricks by the Bay, Fremont, CA
Jill and Dan will be at the first annual Bricks By the Bay with a two table both. Friday and Saturday are for registered attendees only, with a public exhibition on Sunday from 10am to 4pm (order tickets NOW if you plan to attend the public day!). I will have the FULL Brickmania shop at this event, including Brickmania, BrickArms, Brick Journal, Brickstructures, etc. Since we are flying out to this event, Brickmania will not have any MOCs on display at BBTB.

May 6-9: BrickMagic, Raleigh, NC
Brickmania is a sponsor of their first annual BrickMagic Lego fan event, taking place in Raleigh, NC. In addition to a full Brickmania / BrickArms store, Dan plans to have his Iwo Jima invasion diorama present for the first time on public display. Public days are May 8th and 9th.

May 14-16 Art-A-Whirl, Minneapolis, MN
Brickmania will be set up in the Bicycle Theory space of the Northrup King Building (1500 Jackson St NE, Studio 400). Dan will have several large static displays including two World War II Dioramas and several large warships. The complete line of Brickmania kits and BrickArms will also be available for purchase (and Peace Coffee will be giving away free coffiee in the same space!). Art-A-Whirl is a FREE event (hours Friday 5:30-10pm, Saturday noon-8pm and Sunday noon to 5pm).

June 17: BrickWorld, Chicago, IL
We have four(!) tables for running the biggest Brickmania and BrickArms booths we've ever! Lots of NEW Brickmania kits will be available at Brickworld for the first time (and probably lots of new BrickArms too... maybe...?). Dan's Iwo Jima diorrama will also be on display.
