The web store will be closed from Sunday, August 1st through Saturday, August 15th in connection with our upcoming appearance at Brickfair. Any kits in our inventory not purchased before August 1st will be sold in our stall at Brickfair and may not be available on the web site again until September. All kits with current batches slated for August 1st release will still be shipped as scheduled. Thanks for your attention to this matter.
2010 is shaping up to be a huge year for Brickmania to participate in public events. Here are the confirmed events (so far) that Brickmania will be appearing this year:
March 13-14: Brickworld Indy, Indianapolis, IN
Brickmania are one of the select vendors granted permission to appear at the first Indianapolis regional Lego exhibition. My new 2010 WW2 Battlepack models will debut at Brickworld Indy and will be available for purchase. I only have one table at this event, so I will mainly have Brickmania kits, but I also plan to bring a couple trays of BrickArms and other accessories.
March 20-21: La Crosse & Three Rivers Model Train Show, La Crosse, WI
I (Dan) will be at this event as part of the Greater Midwest Lego Train Club. While I will not have my own booth, select kits and accessories will be available at the GMLTC layout, plus many of my models will be on display throughout the layout.
April 9-11: Bricks by the Bay, Fremont, CA
Jill and I will
be running a joint Brickmania and BrickArms booth (one table for each) at the first annual Bricks By the Bay. Friday and Saturday are for registered attendees only, with a public exhibition on Sunday.
May 8-9: BrickMagic Festival, Raleigh, NC
This is a new Lego fan festival being put together by the editor and publishers of Brick Journal Magazine. Brickmania is sponsoring this event and all REGISTERED attendees will receive a limited edition Brickmania kit! We will be representing Brickmania and BrickArms at this event.
May 14-15: Art-A-Whirl, Minneapolis, MN
Brickmania has been invited to participate in the world-famous NE Minneapolis Art-A-Whirl. I will have numerous MOCs on display, including a 25 square foot Iwo Jima diorama USS Missouri and USS Duluth warships and tons of other models. I will also have a large selection of kits, parts and accessories for sale for the duration of the event. Brickmania will be found in the Bicycle Theory studio on the 4th floor of the Northrup King Building (1500 Jackson St NE).
June 17-20: Brickworld, Wheeling, IL
THE massive LEGO fan festival taking place in the Chicago area every June. We're planning to bring the Iwo Jima Invasion dirorama and a special editionBrickmania kits dedicated to the US Marine Corps. Brickmania personnel will also be running the BrickArms booth at Brickworld.
August 5-8: Brickfair, Dulles, VA
Brickfair is a massive LEGO fan event that takes place annually in the Washington DC area. This year Brickmania and BrickArms are teaming up for a massive 4-table booth! I plan to release my 2nd wave of 2010 Brickmania kits at Brickfair.
September 30-October 3: BrickCon, Seattle, WA
Brickmania will return to this massive west coast Lego fan event event in 2010! The public exhibition is on October 2-3rd, but we recommend paying the $50 registration fee to participate in the private (and much less crowded) convention for registered attendees.
October 16-17: Indy Brick Jamboree, Indianapolis, IN
A 9000 sq. ft. exhibit of original creations made entirely out of LEGO bricks by talented and creative LEGO hobbyists Brian Darrow, Jeramy Spurgeon and Mark Peterson. Brickmania will have a 20ft booth (3 tables) with products from Brickmania and BrickArms available.
November 6-7: Memphis Comic and Fantasy Convention, Memphis, TN
Brickmania will be representing the custom LEGO community at the Memphis SCFC with a 200 square foot booth filled to the brim with Brickmania's custom kits and BrickArms custom weapons. We plan to release special sci-fi and fantasy kits at this event.
November 18-21st: Lego Fanwelt 2010, Cologne, Germany
We're gearing up for our first ever European event appearance at this year's massive Lego Fanwelt event in Cologne, Germany! More details to come.
