The Sherman tank was one of the most widely produced Allied tanks during World War II. In an effort to reach production demands, several different hull and engine combinations were used. The M4A4 variant was based around the Chrysler Multibank Engine, which linked five six-cylinder automobile engines to a single drive shaft. Since the US Army settled on the M4A1 and M4A3 variants, most of the 7000+ M4A4s were destined for export via the Lend Lease program. In Western Europe these tanks equipped units of the Free French, Polish, and British armored formations. In Britain the M4A4 was designated the Sherman V and many were upgraded with the powerful 17-pounder gun, becoming the ShermanVc, better known as the Firefly.

This Brickmania model kit is made from genuine unused LEGO bricks and comes with full-color printed building instructions. This kit has been optimized for ease of build, playable construction and a lower price point than Brickmania's more advanced model kits. Although the model does have three opening hatches, there are no interior details for the crew or engine compartment (although they could be easily added by any builder with moderate experience).
