The M3 "Stuart" light tank was the only American tank design to see combat from opening days of the war right up through the end. The M3A1 was the first version to have a single-piece cast steel turret and was the first to be used by US Army against the German & Italian forces in the North Africa. The M3 (later standardized as M5 to avoid confusion with the M3 Medium Tank) continued in service with the US and Allied armies througout entire European conflict as well as Asian and Pacific campaigns by both the Army and Marines.

This kit has been optimized for ease of build, playable construction and a lower price point than Brickmania's more advanced model kits. The commander's hatch on the turret opens (minifig is NOT included), but this model does not have interior details for the crew or a detailed engine compartment.
