MORE TRAIN MODELS (2000-2001 - The last of the 6-wides?)

Here are some additional pics of train models from 2000, some of which are the very crude prototypes of custom kits to be offered by Brickmania for 2001.

Since GMLTC has switched from 6-wide to 8-wide stock, I have also started building to this new, larger scale for my personal models and will be posting pictures of my latest creations shortly.

GMLTC Subway Cars

GMLTC Trolley Car

This was modeled from a turn of the century open-air street car. The original car can be ridden on summer evenings from Lake Harriet to Lake Calhoun in Minneapolis.

Thomas-Series "Rheneas"

Wild West themed 4-4-2 locomotive
I completely rebuilt my earlier Wild West locomotive to a 4-4-2 design of greater historical accuracy and better performance. Note the mandatory token Star Wars element being used as the piston rod. This locomotive is the basis for an vastly improved version to be offered as a Brickmania custom kit for 2001.
A slighhtly revised version of the Green / Yellow Locomotive appeared at the Kidvention in Legoland California, July 2000. Unlike my Big Boy, this model pulled a lot of duty hauling freight trains throughout GMLTC's appearance at the event. Note the completely tiled boiler and improved tender design. The caboose is not my work.

Wild West themed passenger car
Another revised model of an earlier design. A MUCH improved and more historically accurate version (in brown, tan and black) will be offered as a Brickmania custom kit in 2001.
