Northeast Minneapolis Art-A-Whirl which took place last weekend (May 14-16th). Brickmania was invited by to display / sell in the Northrup-King Building, a famous landmark in the arts community. We were located on the fourth floor in the space that normally occupied our graphic design team Bicycle Theory, who invited several other local artists into their space. Due to the close proximity to Brickmania's factory (i.e. my kitchen table), I was able to create the largest public display of my work ever assembled, including two WWII dioramas and a ton of ships and airplanes. Thousands of people came through the space to view my work, with mostly positive feedback. There were a couple of people who erronously accused me of glorifying fascism because of my German tank models, but I quickly set them straight! All in all it was an awesome experience and I hope to be invited back next year!
