This is a 1/4 size (1:152 over-all ratio) mock up of the minifig scale Cleveland class crusier I am hoping to build. It started out as just a design test for the hull shape, but it looked so nice that I decided to keep working on it. In this stage, it is still not complete (AA tubs missing, wrong parts, wrong colors, etc), but here it is anyway. Notice that the curve of the hull and the deck are achieved completely by flexing the joints in the bricks and plates, making for very clean, un-Lego-like lines. This test worked out so well that I plan to build a similar model of the USS Missouri in a slightly larger 1:128 scale.
